Team Story

Kwabena

Kwabena, a man standing in front of green leaves smiling

Kwabena is a father, business man, church elder and Sunday school teacher from Accra. He and his wife Joyce have been volunteer hosts for Village by Village for eight years.

Kwabena meets fellow volunteers at Kotoka International Airport, Accra. He and Joyce are warm, generous, and welcoming hosts. They live in a safe, smart district just 15 minutes’ drive from the airport. Depending on the time of your flight, you can stop at their house for a shower and a meal; or stay overnight, before driving to the village the following day.

“Village by Village do such an amazing job through water projects, clinics, schools. Really, I’m glad to be a part of it,” Kwabena enthuses. “Volunteering is a great decision: you can make a real difference to people in the poorest villages. Come! We look forward to welcoming you.”
