Clean Water Saves Lives

student washing hands with clean water in Ghana

The impact of our “Clean Water Saves Hands” project is profound. By ensuring these schools have access to clean water, we safeguard the health of students and staff. It also improves the overall hygiene conditions in the school, reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases.

With clean water at their fingertips, students can focus on their education, knowing that their well-being is a top priority.

The Problem

Clean water is fundamental for good health. Without it, children are at risk of waterborne diseases like cholera, dysentery, and typhoid. These diseases can be severe, even fatal, and they create a perpetual cycle of sickness and missed opportunities. The need for clean water is the most urgent.

In many remote rural schools across Ghana and West Africa, children face a formidable challenge – limited access to clean water. The need for clean water is the most urgent. Without clean water sources nearby, these young learners are forced to drink unsafe water, compromising their health and well-being. Additionally, the absence of proper handwashing facilities contributes to hygiene-related issues, affecting their overall learning experience.

How can Clean Water Saves Lives help?

Village by Village is transforming children’s lives through clean water, the project is the beacon of hope for these schools. We understand that clean water is not a luxury but a necessity. This project is designed to alleviate the water-related challenges faced by these students and staff.

Implementing Clean Water Solutions

Our project targets remote rural schools in Ghana and West Africa, where we collaborate closely with these communities to build sustainable water sources and handwashing facilities within the school premises.

Volunteer Overseas

Volunteering will probably be one of the most worthwhile things that you ever do.

We take around 50 volunteers a year out to Africa. Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Bricklayers, Mechanics, and students, all pay their own costs and raise money for the projects they work on.

We have opportunities to work on a wide range of projects that save lives and create transformational change.

Without volunteers, many projects would not exist. Discover our volunteer opportunities.
